There is a minimum age of 18 at Nalen if nothing else is specified. This is because alcohol is served at the bar during concerts.
In 2005 the National Board of Health and Welfare published new "General advice" concerning loud sound levels. The recommended levels that the National Board of Health and Welfare give for adults are what we at Nalen have been working with for many years now, because there are residents living near us. However, there is a new recommendation for lower levels if there are children under the age of 13 on the premises. These recommended levels are so low that we cannot adapt to them.
We have therefore introduced a minimum age of 13, even in the company of guardians.
It may sound strange that it is not the parents who decide on whether their children should be protected against loud noise, but the National Board of Health and Welfare’s regulations state clearly that if children under 13 are present in the location, the lower sound level must apply.
We accept young people aged between 13 and 18 coming to concerts accompanied by a guardian. Parents are considered guardians.
